Full disclosure, my blue tongue skink Cleo will eat just about anything (with the exception of mustard greens, she hates those!), so I purchased these expecting she would eat them. She’s had commercial pellets before, so I offered these to her the same way I have other pellets in the past: soaked in water, mixed with some wet dog food and fresh greens. As expected, she ate every last morsel. I don’t know if she would go for them plain, but that’s not why I bought these. I just want to give Cleo the most diverse diet that I can, and I felt these fit the bill for that. I like that they contain both vertebrate and invertebrate whole-prey, along with a variety of veggies. Being such small pellets, they thawed out in room temperature water very quickly (I’m keeping them in the freezer to prolong their shelf life), which for me is more convenient than the links. She did enjoy the links when I got those for her a couple years ago (again, she’ll eat just about anything), but I like the convenience of the pellet option while still being able to offer her raw, whole prey. These will likely become a staple in her diet moving forward.
