from 894 reviewsThere are lots of options for great food for your animals, but few offer the selection, care, and freshness of ReptiLinks. They are awesome over the phone, giving answers to all the questions. And, once the fresh orders are packed expertly in dry ice, I get them typically a day before their ETA, making it way easier to plan for my Tegu's needs. Thanks!
I have an Eastern Stimson’s python who readily eats frozen fuzzy mice. I wanted to give him some diversity in his diet, and since he’s so small, I’m a bit limited on what I can realistically feed him. I thought these Reptilinks would be a good way to vary his diet. Well, when I offered him the link, he dramatically flailed back and hid in his cave. I tried enticing him to eat it, but he just kept striking defensively at it instead of trying to eat it. I tried leaving it in his enclosure with him for awhile, but he wouldn’t go near it. So, I thawed out a small pinky mouse for him and he ate that. Then I tried offering the link again, and at first he would just strike at it defensively again, but after a few strikes he seemed to realize it was food, so he swallowed it. One week later I found a large, healthy-looking poop. I think the next time I try to offer it to him, I will start him with a pinky mouse and see how that goes. I’m hoping after a couple feedings, he’ll be more receptive to it and eat it without the pinky appetizer. I gave the product 5 stars because it is what it says it is, I’m thinking I’ll be able to get him to eat them without being so offended eventually, and because there was a delay during the shipment but the links were still fully frozen thanks to the great packaging job. So all in all, it’s a good product, although Bambi was not impressed.
I got these links for my Bearded Dragons to try. One of my dragons recently had a surgery and was refusing food for weeks. She refused to eat her favorite repashy or bugs - I was needing to force feed critical care (per vet recommendations). I was very concerned, because this dragon is already super picky and I didn't think she was getting all the nutrients she needed. First link I offered her I had to kinda put in her mouth, but after that she took a second link by herself! (First time eating on her own in 3 weeks). I'm so relieved and overjoyed that she likes them.
My other dragon loves them and ate 4 in one sitting.
These are a bit bigger than a pinky mouse, so my baby bearded can't eat a whole one, but I might try cutting a link open and squeezing it out for the baby beardie.
Will definitely be buying more! Can't wait for my Tegu to try the ones I got for her.
None of my Drymarchon hesitated when offered Rabbit links for the 1st time! They are now part of the rotation!
All mt Drymarchon go crazy for Frog links!
Tri-colored hognose snakes are notoriously picky, so even though all the reviews were great, I still had some qualms. But the first time I presented a frog/quail eggs Reptilink to the little guy, he immediately chomped down on it and gobbled it up with great enthusiasm. Glad to know there is a product that reputable pet store employees recommend for nutrition over their own pinkies.
Fast shipping, wonderful and convenient product that my snake immediately loved!
Full disclosure, my blue tongue skink Cleo will eat just about anything (with the exception of mustard greens, she hates those!), so I purchased these expecting she would eat them. She’s had commercial pellets before, so I offered these to her the same way I have other pellets in the past: soaked in water, mixed with some wet dog food and fresh greens. As expected, she ate every last morsel. I don’t know if she would go for them plain, but that’s not why I bought these. I just want to give Cleo the most diverse diet that I can, and I felt these fit the bill for that. I like that they contain both vertebrate and invertebrate whole-prey, along with a variety of veggies. Being such small pellets, they thawed out in room temperature water very quickly (I’m keeping them in the freezer to prolong their shelf life), which for me is more convenient than the links. She did enjoy the links when I got those for her a couple years ago (again, she’ll eat just about anything), but I like the convenience of the pellet option while still being able to offer her raw, whole prey. These will likely become a staple in her diet moving forward.
My Tri Colored Hognose sub adults are feeding more reguarly now with smaller but more frequent feedings. Hit the right away when they have a drop or two of Frog Juice on them. Gaining good weight and size.
The packaging was 10/10 it was carefully packed up with so much dry ice and it was so cold on arrival! My first time getting them for my snakes and I really like them! My hognose isn’t a fan yet but she’s off feed so whenever she picks back up I’m sure she will love them!
Recently hatched Aurora House snakes. These are notorious finicky snakes to get started. Of 5, 3 have taken pinky heads dipped into gecko juice. The other 2 required house geckos. But, I’m happy with 3 of the 5.
This is a great and convenient option. Certainly worth a try.
For 30 yers I have been raising all sorts of reptiles. When I started raining Asian and Central American pit vipers I used to use greenhouse frogs I collected, treated for parasites, and housed and fed until it was snake feeding time. Reptilink frog sausages have cut out all the time spent capturing, worming, and feeding up those little frogs. Most of the tiny hatchlings will take the reptilink micro frog sausages with a little tease feeding much easier than pinky parts in my experience. I also feed them to baby turtles to add more diversity in their diets. Great product!!!!
